Orange County Prep Girls’ Basketball : Woodbridge Wins in a Steal

Woodbridge High School used 31 steals to help it defeat Orange, 50-39, Saturday night in a Pacific Coast League girls’ basketball game at Orange.
Woodbridge (3-1, 13-7) was led by Gilly Powell’s 12 points and 13 rebounds. Angie Hubner added 8 points and 10 rebounds.
The Panthers (2-2) scored only two points in the second quarter. Suzette Sargeant had 29 points, 13 rebounds and 9 steals for Orange.
In other games:
Fountain Valley 54, Ocean View 41--Lauri De Haven scored 28 points and had 10 rebounds to lead the Barons (2-4, 12-11) to a 54-41 victory over the Seahawks in a Sunset League game at Fountain Valley.
Cindy Hurzeler scored 16 points and Dalene Lawson added 13 for Ocean View (4-2, 11-9).
