Lady’s Secret Is Horse of Year

NEW YORK —
Lady’s Secret, an iron-gray daughter of Secretariat who won more than $1.8 million last year, was unanimously named Horse of the Year for 1986 today.
Lady’s Secret, a 5-year-old who earlier won the Eclipse Award for champion older filly or mare, is trained by D. Wayne Lukas and owned by Eugene V. Klein, former owner of the San Diego Chargers, and Mel Hatley.
