Singer and actor Robert Goulet filed a lawsuit Thursday seeking more than $1 million over a dispute with the Palm Springs-based Desert Symphony. The suit, filed in Riverside County Superior Court in Indio, claims that the symphony failed to pay him a $10,000 advance fee for a scheduled February, 1986 concert at the Palm Springs Hilton Rivera hotel and that symphony officials libeled him in letters sent ticket holders a letter explaining the cancellation.
