Prison lovebirds Ron McIntosh, 42, and Samantha Lopez, 37, who fled in early November from Pleasanton Federal Prison by helicopter, have been ordered to stand trial on escape charges March 30 by U.S. Judge Eugene Lynch of San Francisco. The convicted con man is accused of walking away from the prison earlier, hijacking a helicopter at gunpoint near San Jose and using it to spirit his bank robber girlfriend from the prison yard. They were captured 10 days later while shopping for wedding rings in a Sacramento mall.
