The New York Giants’ Super Bowl victory...
The New York Giants’ Super Bowl victory over the Denver Broncos has changed the positions of four teams in the 1987 NFL draft, the league announced.
The Giants will select 28th and last in the first round of the April 28 draft in New York--the same place they held before beating the Broncos, 39-20, in Super Bowl XXI.
Denver dropped from the 24th to the 27th position, the spot reserved for the Super Bowl loser. Through the Broncos’ descent in the draft order, three teams--Cleveland, San Francisco and Chicago--moved up one spot on the first round.
