Fullerton Plays at New Mexico State Tonight

Cal State Fullerton brings a 3-5 road record into tonight’s game against a New Mexico State team that makes itself quite at home in the Pan American Center.

The Aggies are 4-6 in Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. play and 10-11 overall, but have won 9 of 11 on their home floor.

Tonight marks the first of four straight road games for Fullerton, 4-6 and 11-8.

Three straight victories at home haven’t convinced Titan Coach George McQuarn that his team is fully recovered from its January swoon. The Titans had a 14-point lead with 1:46 to play against San Jose State Monday, then barely escaped with a 62-60 win. “I don’t know how we’re gonna be,” McQuarn said afterward.

New Mexico State is one of two teams the Titans will play twice in the last eight games of the regular season. The Aggies lost all four games of a late-January trip, but have since returned home to beat San Jose State and Utah State.
