Hoover High’s Bleachers Damaged by $120,000 Fire
A fire Sunday destroyed half the bleachers at the Hoover High School football stadium in San Diego, causing more than $120,000 damage.
It took six fire units just a few minutes to extinguish the 4 p.m. blaze, but by then it had already done extensive damage to the bleachers, a San Diego Fire Department spokeswoman said.
Fire investigators said they believe the blaze was caused by a juvenile arsonist, but no arrests have been made. The matter is under investigation.
