Man Killed in Blaze at Motel
A fire at a Sepulveda motel Friday night killed an unidentified man and caused $42,000 in damage to the building, city fire officials said.
The man was identified only as being in his late 30s. No other injuries were reported at the Vagabond Motel, 9229 N. Sepulveda Blvd., said Fire Department spokesman Jim Wells.
The fire broke out at the motel at around 7 p.m. and was put out in 11 minutes, Wells said.
One of the motel rooms was completely engulfed by flames, and two others received some damage, he said.
