Hanker Leads Dominguez Over Irvine, 8-5

Fred Hanker hit a bases-loaded triple in the fourth inning to help Cal State Dominguez Hills to an 8-5 nonconference baseball victory over UC Irvine Saturday at Irvine.

Dominguez Hills (6-4) scored two runs in the first inning and added four in the fourth. Hanker was 2 for 5 with four RBIs.

UCI (6-8), trailing, 8-4, in the ninth, loaded the bases with one out. The Anteaters scored on a fielder’s choice before Osmar DeChavez hit into a game-ending double play.
