Wallin Wins Marathon With a Time of 2:13.59

BARCELONA, Spain —
Paer Wallin of Sweden won the 10th Marathon of Catalunya-Barcelona-87 Sunday. Wallin covered the 26.2 miles run through main streets of Barcelona in a time of 2 hours 13 minutes 59 seconds.
Consuelo Alonso of Spain won the women’s marathon in a time of 2:43:25. A total of 2,400 runners, including 115 women, started the race.
