The Oslo City Council denied Frank Sinatra permission to hold a June 7 concert in the Norwegian capital because of his performances in South Africa, concert promoters said Monday. The council’s decision was based on a municipal law banning entertainers who have performed in South Africa. Sinatra, 71, has frequently performed at Sun City in Bophuthatswana. Sinatra’s scheduled June 9 concert in Gothenburg is also in danger of being canceled because of his Sun City appearances.
