Pasadena : Administrator Leaving Post
Bruce Philpott, the administrator in charge of implementing the city’s northwest plan, will leave his post in June to return to his former job as a commander with the Pasadena Police Department.
Since 1985, Philpott, 43, has been coordinating the efforts of various city departments as they work on problems in the northwest section of the city, which is predominantly made up of minorities. The plan calls for improving the quality of life by promoting job programs, attracting new businesses and establishing low-income housing, said City Manager Don McIntyre.
Philpott’s replacement will be chosen from the city’s staff by June 1, McIntyre said.
