Azusa : Anti-Drug Facility Opens
The River Community, the first county residential treatment program for people who suffer from chronic mental illness and have a serious drug or alcohol problem, has opened in Azusa. The 20-bed facility, operated by Social Model Systems, is funded by the county departments of mental health and health services. It provides both residential and community outreach services and sponsors self-help groups.
