Orange’s Sargeant Signs at Long Beach
Suzette Sargeant, who averaged 22 points for the Orange High School girls’ basketball team this past season, has signed a national letter of intent to attend Cal State Long Beach.
Sargeant, a 6-foot 2-inch forward, also averaged 12 rebounds, 5 blocked shots and 4 steals. She was named most valuable player in the Pacific Coast League.
UC Irvine Coach Dean Andrea also announced Tuesday that Shannon Unfred, who averaged 19.2 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocked shots for Colorado’s Fruita Monument High School, has signed a letter of intent to attend UCI.
