Chris Chueden scored his second goal of the game on a power play 1:31 into the third overtime Wednesday night to lift the Lazers to a 3-2 Major Indoor Soccer League victory over the Kansas City Comets.

Chueden’s goal broke an 82-minute scoreless stretch after Kansas City’s Damir Haramina tied the score, 2-2, in the first quarter. Gus Mokalis also scored for the Lazers.

Los Angeles goalkeeper David Brcic set a team record with 27 saves, including 13 in overtime, to enable the last-place Lazers (14-32) to avoid a season series sweep by the Comets (24-21).
