Short Causes a Fire: An overloaded electrical outlet started a small fire in the master bedroom of a home Thursday, causing $1,500 damage, a county Fire Department spokeswoman said. The fire occurred shortly before 9 a.m. at the home of John and Gloria Guest on the 100 block of 12th Street, spokeswoman Patti Range said. An electrical outlet, overloaded with four multiple outlet adapters and extension cords, short-circuited, Range said. No one was home.
