Titans Sign Four Community College Players

Cal State Fullerton signed baseball players Brent Mayne, Rex Peters and Jim Foley of Orange Coast College and Erik Silvey of Cypress to letters of intent Wednesday.

Mayne, a left-handed hitting freshman catcher, is batting .272, and Peters, a sophomore switch-hitting first baseman, is hitting .365. Foley, a sophomore right-handed pitcher, is 8-1 with a 3.45 earned-run average. He has a 12-1 career record at OCC.

Silvey, a sophomore right-handed pitcher, is 3-6 with a 3.61 ERA. He has 65 strikeouts in 72 innings.
