Five partners broke away from Gibson, Dunn.
The partners and as many as 15 associates have broken away from the Los Angeles-based law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher to set up a new firm in Irvine. The move marks the first time that a group of partners has left the 550-lawyer firm. The new firm--Pettis, Tester, Kruse & Krinsky--officially opened its doors Monday.
