Bedside Promise Heads Field for Triple Bend ‘Cap
A field of six, headed by Bedside Promise, is entered in today’s $75,000-added Triple Bend Handicap at Hollywood Park.
Off-track wagering for the Kentucky Derby will be allowed today. The Derby will be run between the second and third races on the Hollywood Park card.
Bedside Promise, one of the top sprinters in the nation, will be ridden by Rafael Meza and is assigned high-weight of 124 pounds for the ninth running of the seven-furlong race for 3-year-olds and up.
In today’s other featured race, the $60,000-added Spotlight Handicap, a field of 10 headed by Persevered is entered in the mile race for 3-year-olds on the turf.
Persevered will be ridden by Alex Solis and will carry high weight of 121 pounds. If he wins, he probably will go on to the Preakness.
