The Cincinnati Bengals said that running back...
The Cincinnati Bengals said that running back Stanley Wilson is ineligible to participate in any team activities for an unspecified length of time, by order of NFL Commissioner Pete Rozelle.
Television and newspaper reports have said Wilson recently failed a drug test. The running back has denied the reports.
Wilson was reinstated by the NFL a year ago after an 18-month suspension for drug abuse. He faces another suspension and possible permanent banishment from the league if a drug test proved positive.
Wilson, in both 1977 and ‘78, was L.A. City player of the year at Banning High School.
