Texas A&M; sophomore Floyd Heard set a collegiate record of 19.95 in the 200 meters at the Southwest Conference Track and Field Championships at Lubbock, Tex. The old mark was was 19.96, set by Houston’s Kirk Baptiste at the 1984 Olympic Trials.
