Steve Sanders, former Brigham Young University football player, waived his right to a preliminary hearing as part of a plea bargain in which two of three drug prescription counts against him were dropped.
Sanders, a linebacker from El Modena High in Orange, Calif., had two counts of obtaining a prescription drug by fraud dismissed in 8th Circuit Court in Orem, Utah, provided that he pleads guilty to a third count of attempting to obtain a prescription drug by fraud at a hearing May 29.
