Manhattan Beach : 2 New Principals Named

LaGayle Black, an assistant principal at Ocean View High School in Huntington Beach, has been appointed principal of Mira Costa High School. She will replace Gary Hartzell, who is taking a leave of absence to complete his Ph. D. in education.
Pacific Shores High School, another campus in the South Bay Union High School District, also will have a new principal next fall. She is Linda Fredricks, now vice principal at Mira Costa, who replaces George Magnusson. Magnusson, principal of Pacific Shores since its founding in 1965, is retiring.
