Azusa : Interim City Head Named
The City Council has appointed Julio Fuentes as interim city administrator while it searches for a permanent successor to Lloyd Wood, who had held the dual position of city administrator and police chief until this week.
Wood, who will continue as police chief, said he gave up the top city job because of divisions on the council and political turmoil.
Fuentes, 30, has been assistant city administrator. A resident of Santa Fe Springs, he is also president of the board of trustees of Rio Hondo College, to which he was elected in 1983.
