Police were searching Thursday for four young men who kidnaped, assaulted and robbed a Huntington Beach High School student Wednesday before stealing his car.
Lt. John Foster identified the victim as Vo Gnoc, 17, who allegedly was abducted shortly after noon from the high school parking lot by four men described as Vietnamese. Gnoc was beaten and forced to direct the men to his Santa Ana residence, police said.
There, the abductors tied up Gnoc, ransacked the residence and took an unknown amount of cash and jewelry before fleeing in Gnoc’s car, police said. The vehicle, a 1984 Camaro, was found near Huntington Beach High School.
Gnoc untied himself after his abductors left and called Santa Ana police, who referred the case to Huntington Beach in the late afternoon.
Three of the men being sought are in their early to middle 20s; the fourth is in his late teens.
