South County : 3 People Injured in Coast Highway Collision

A driver crossed the center divider on Coast Highway north of Laguna Beach Friday afternoon, triggering a head-on collision that left a 64-year-old man in serious condition, the California Highway Patrol reported.

CHP spokeswoman Janelle Clem said Joyce Bradley, 40, of Laguna Beach, was traveling south on Coast Highway near El Moro School at 5:25 p.m. when her car crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a car driven by Forrest Dillon, also of Laguna Beach.

Dillon and Bradley were airlifted to Mission Community Hospital in Mission Viejo, where Bradley was listed in good condition with moderate injuries and Dillon was admitted to the intensive care unit in serious condition with multiple injuries, a hospital spokeswoman said Friday night.

A passenger in Dillon’s car, Mary Salazar, 60, of Monterey Park, was taken by ambulance to Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach and was listed in good condition.
