Local News in Brief : Plane Lands in Field After Losing Power
A Thousand Oaks man whose plane lost power on a flight from Santa Paula to Camarillo landed safely Friday in a plowed field next to the Simi Valley Freeway about two miles north of Camarillo, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department reported.
The pilot, identified as William C. Lose, 54, was not injured, and there was no significant damage to the plane, said Lt. Tony Ditzhazy.
