Watts Places Second in 200 at Junior Meet

TUCSON — Quincy Watts had trouble in the turn and finished second Saturday night in the 200 meters at The Athletics Congress National Junior Championships.
Watts, a junior from Woodland Hills Taft High School, had a time of 20.67 seconds--eighth fastest in high school history. John Drummond of Odessa, Tex., College, won in 20.64.
Watts qualified for the U.S. junior national team that will compete in international meets at Vancouver, Canada, and Pullman, Wash., but said he did not plan to participate.
