A coroner’s investigator said an autopsy would be performed on 27-year-old Miguel Contreras of Norwalk, who died after he fought with Beverly Hills police who were trying to arrest him. Police spotted Contreras acting “bizarrely” near Beverly Boulevard and Civic Center Drive and finally used a Taser “stun” gun to subdue him when he struggled, said Lt. Miles Lee. “He went berserk,” Lee said, adding that Contreras exhibited common symptoms of PCP intoxication, including very unusual strength. Contreras was handcuffed and placed in the police car, but stopped breathing, Lee said. Paramedics treated Contreras at the scene and then took him to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he died.
