Two Fallbrook men were killed and another two injured in an accident Saturday morning on Mission Road South in Fallbrook, officials said.
Ricardo Lopez, 20, was apparently traveling at high speed on Mission Road South south of Pepper Tree Lane about 7 a.m. when he lost control of his car, crossed over double yellow lines and struck a northbound car head-on, according to a California Highway Patrol spokeswoman.
The driver of the second car, Arcadio Hurtado Avina, 62, died at the scene. Lopez’s passenger, Benjamin Lopez Gomez, 21, was taken to Fallbrook Hospital, where he died a short time later.
