Police seized almost $47,000 worth of stolen cars and other goods from a ranch near the Barona Indian Reservation early Thursday morning, the San Diego Police Department reported.

The San Diego Police Department, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department and the California Highway Patrol cooperated in the investigation, which resulted in the arrest of Gerald Collins, 28, and Angela Snelson, 26, said San Diego Police Sgt. Nate Caplan.

Collins was booked into county jail, and Snelson was released to care for animals on the ranch, in the 13000 block of Wildcat Canyon Road.

A sheriff’s deputy shot and killed a pit bull during the raid, Caplan said, adding that Collins and Snelson were arrested on suspicion of possession of stolen goods and cultivating marijuana, Caplan said.
