Sinjin Smith of Santa Monica and Randy Stoklos of Pacific Palisades, who have dominated the Pro Beach Volleyball Series the last two years, return home this weekend for the Palisades Open.
Smith and Stoklos, who have won 24 of 34 tournaments and split almost $185,000 in prize money in the last 15 months, are seeded No. 1 for the $20,000, 32-team tournament, which will be played near the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Temescal Canyon Road at Will Rogers State Beach.
Smith and Stoklos have won 8 of 11 tournaments this year, including last week’s Hermosa Beach Open.
The tournament begins at 9 a.m. today, with the final scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday.
