A 2-year-old boy was struck in the head by a bullet fired from a passing van. Sheriff’s deputies said Tiandre Slaughder was in the arms of his mother’s boyfriend, Reese McNeese, 21, on the sidewalk in the 18300 block of Ambler Street in Carson, when three shots were allegedly fired from a passing late-model van. The child was taken to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where he was reported in critical condition.
