Cerritos : Anti-Drug Grant Sought
The ABC Unified School District Board of Education has applied for a $139,000 federal grant to supplement the district’s anti-drug programs. The board approved submission of an application to the Department of Education for a grant under the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act.
If granted, the funds will be used to improve and expand existing anti-drug education programs in the 22,000-student district, said Betty McGinnis, supervisor of health services.
