Police said they are mystified by the weekend attack on a Fresno apartment complex security guard by two men dressed in black Japanese-style ninja suits, including black hoods with eyeholes. Joe Cool, 36, told officers he was on patrol when the two men jumped over a wall and confronted him. “One ninja began jabbing Cool with a five-foot metal pole and the other grabbed him by the head and began smashing him into the wall until he blacked out,” said a police detective.
