Jockey Alex Solis was admitted to Centinela Hospital Medical Center in Inglewood for overnight observation after being thrown from his mount in the fifth race at Hollywood Park. Solis was suffering from a concussion, cuts on his chin and left knee and multiple bruises, according to Dr. Ralph Gambardella. His horse, Tranzor, clipped the heels of another horse in the stretch and went down, throwing Solis. Tranzor was uninjured and no others were involved in the spill.
