A fire burned 100 acres of rolling brushland just south of Gorman before being controlled by about 90 firefighters Sunday.

No one was hurt and no structures were damaged by the brush fire, which broke out about 1:30 p.m. near California 138 and the Golden State Freeway in the Hungry Valley area, said Los Angeles County Fire Capt. Bill Masten.

Firefighters from Los Angeles County and the U. S. Forest Service battled the blaze for about an hour before it was reported contained about 2:40 p.m., Masten said.
