The body of a San Diego man who had been slashed on the neck, head and arms was found by a transient early Monday morning in Golden Hill Park, authorities said.

Arnulfo Romero was found about 6:10 a.m. by a transient who had been sleeping in the park, in the 2100 block of 26th Street Road, San Diego Police Sgt. Jim Wallace said.

The transient told police he heard two men arguing shortly before he found Romero’s body, Wallace said. No suspect has been arrested in the slaying, and it was not known what type of weapon was used to slash Romero.
