At least two people were killed and 22 others injured--four of them seriously--in a 10-vehicle pileup on Interstate 5 near the San Onofre immigration checkpoint in San Diego County. The dead, a man and woman, and many of the injured were part of a group of Dutch tourists riding in two vans, California Highway Patrol officers said. The driver of a semi-trailer truck that allegedly rear-ended one of the vans was booked on suspicion of felony drunk driving and manslaughter, officials said. Eight ambulances and four helicopters were used to take the injured to area hospitals.
