Lawndale : Parks Panelist Honored

Shirley Rudolph, a member of the Parks, Recreation and Social Services Commission, has been named Outstanding Commissioner of the Year by the Los Angeles Basin Parks and Recreation Commissioners and Board Members Assn.

Rudolph, who has three children and is the wife of Lawndale Councilman Larry Rudolph, has served on the commission for five years. She has been involved in community service for more than 16 years, in activities including Little League baseball, South Bay 25 Club and Lawndale’s Youth Day Parade.

She received the Lions Club Lucille Patrick Award for outstanding contributions to community youths and in 1985 was named the city’s Woman of the Year.
