William Bidwill, owner of the National Football League’s St. Louis Cardinals, has met with officials of Arizona State University regarding the possible use of Sun Devil Stadium, sources have told two Phoenix newspapers.
The Arizona Republic and the Phoenix Gazette both reported that Bidwill and his attorney met with Arizona State officials here last Thursday.
Bidwill has been publicly critical of the seating capacity of 51,000 at Busch Stadium, the Cardinals’ current home, and he has not been happy with the lack of progress made on a new stadium proposed by St. Louis officials.
Sun Devil Stadium seats 70,491.
