With Dickerson Trade and Irvin Suspension, Mediocrity Is Attained

Alas, poor Eric is gone. Granted, in the end the Rams had little choice but to send their marvelous, disgruntled athlete elsewhere.

Overlooked is the more serious epidemic that has struck four out of five of the Southland’s, and perhaps the nation’s, once finest sports franchises. In the world’s ultimate sports area, a land of milk and honey, superb weather, excellent facilities, great athletes, coaches, etc., the once mighty Rams, Angels, Dodgers and Raiders have all fallen from grace in a brief time span because of terrible management.

In an area where the fans deserve better, our teams have been decimated by dreadful management, poor vision, lack of planning, bizarre player relations, and a lack of commitment to everything except the bottom line.

Before the Lakers go full time in their pursuit of a second straight championship, I suggest that Jerry Buss hold a symposium for Georgia, Gene, Peter and Al to explain to them in simple terms how it is done.
