Bo Jackson has been given an opportunity to take up yet another hobby--pro basketball.

Jackson, a running back for the Raiders and an outfielders for the Kansas City Royals, was drafted in the 13th round of the first International Basketball Assn. draft, which was held Tuesday in New York. He was selected by the Southern California (Orange County) franchise, which has no team name or a place to play.

The Los Angeles franchise made Tim McCalister, a 6-foot, 4-inch guard from the University of Oklahoma, its top pick. Bruce Douglas, a 6-4 forward from the University of Illinois, was the first pick of the Orange County franchise.

Douglas is currently playing for Rockford (Ill.) of the Continental Basktball Assn.

The IBA is the new professional 6-4-and-under league that has 10 franchises throughout the United States and Canada.

Toronto had the first pick and selected 5-9 guard Calvin Murphy, who starred as a collegian at Niagara and in the National Basketball Assn. with Buffalo and Houston.
