Running in rain, wind and humidity, Ibrahim Hussein of Kenya coasted to his third straight victory in the Honolulu Marathon. His time was 2:18:26, far off the course record of 2:11:44, which Hussein set last year.
Hussein won the New York City Marathon Nov. 1 with a personal best of 2:11:01.
Carla Beurskens of the Netherlands also became a three-time Honolulu Marathon champion, winning the women’s division in 2:35:11.
