Seattle Pacific Edges Point Loma
Lori Robinet scored 21 points and made a free throw with three seconds left to seal a 68-66 nonconference victory for the Seattle Pacific University women’s basketball team at Point Loma Nazarene College Tuesday night.
With Seattle Pacific leading, 67-66, Ann Duffy missed a shot that would have put Point Loma Nazarene ahead with three seconds left. Robinet was fouled during Duffy’s shot.
Laura Mars had 16 points and Shannon Anderson added 15 for Point Loma Nazarene (6-3). Linda Johnson had 18 for Seattle Pacific (5-2).
WOMEN’S SWIMMING
Emily Wade had first-place finishes in the 100-meter freestyle (56.06 seconds) and 200 freestyle (2:00.95) to lead the undefeated UC Irvine women’s swimming team to a 112-105 victory over UC San Diego at Heritage Park in Irvine.
