Charger tight end Kellen Winslow and punter Ralf Mojsiejenko were selected to the American Football Conference’s first team for the Feb. 7 Pro Bowl, announced Wednesday.

It was first selection for Mojsiejenko, a three-year veteran, and the first for Winslow since he injured his knee during the 1984 season. Winslow had been named to four consecutive Pro Bowl teams, three times as starter, before the injury. He leads AFC tight ends with 47 receptions for 475 yards.

Mojsiejenko, who leads AFC punters with a 42.7-yard average, is the first Charger punter to be named to the Pro Bowl.

Three Chargers--outside linebacker Chip Banks, offensive tackle Jim Lachey and return specialist Lionel James--were named first alternates. It was the first time in three seasons that Banks, a four-time selection acquired this year in a trade from Cleveland, was not named to the first team.

The first alternate plays if a selection at their position does not.

Outside linebacker Billy Ray Smith was named a second alternate and end Lee Williams a third.
