4.1 Temblor Hits in Desert

YUCCA VALLEY, Calif. —
A moderate earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale rumbled through the desert Thursday northeast of Palm Springs.
San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department officials said they received no reports of damage or injuries.
The temblor struck at 1:34 p.m. and was centered about four miles north-northeast of Yucca Valley, said Caltech spokesman Robert Finn.
