Former Laker coach Butch van Breda Kolff, now the coach at Lafayette College, left a basketball game with chest pains and was listed in satisfactory condition with an irregular heartbeat, hospital officials in Easton, Pa., said.
Van Breda Kolff, a veteran of 32 seasons coaching pro, college and high school teams, was admitted to Easton Hospital Thursday night in stable condition.
He left the game against Drexel with a minute left, complaining of chest pains and pains in his left arm, Lafayette spokesman Craig Smith said.
Doctors said Van Breda Kolff did not suffer a heart attack.
