Bill Maurer made both ends of a one-and-one with seven seconds left to clinch a 70-67 victory for Bolsa Grande High School over Pacifica in a Garden Grove League boys’ basketball game Friday at Pacifica.

Pacifica led, 65-58, with four minutes left but Pacifica cut the lead to 68-67 on Joe Small’s basket with 14 seconds left. But Maurer was fouled and made both shots to score his only points of the game. Jim Usey missed a desperation shot as time ran out for Bolsa Grande (13-7, 6-4).

Jeff Banks scored 18 points, Greg White 17, Victor Ledesma 13 and Dustin Bonham 11 for Pacifica (6-13, 4-6).
