Few Clues Found After Bombing Goes Wrong

MARTINEZ, Calif. —
Investigators sought Sunday to determine the identity of a man who was killed while apparently placing high explosives under a truck parked in a small residential neighborhood.
Contra Costa County sheriff’s deputies said parts of the man’s body were strewn along the street. No motive for placing the bomb, possibly dynamite, was known.
